How Does This Wordle Helper Work?

Our Wordle helper filters 15,000+ valid 5-letter English words using the clues you input. Green letters must appear in that exact position. Yellow letters must appear somewhere but not in that position. Gray letters are excluded entirely. The solver applies all constraints simultaneously, narrowing the full dictionary to only matching words.

Wordle Strategy Tips

After your first guess, choose a second word that tests entirely new letters rather than reusing confirmed ones. Save green-letter placement for guesses 3–4 once you have enough constraints to narrow results meaningfully. Hard mode players benefit most from this solver since it ensures you never waste a guess on an impossible word.

Frequently Asked Questions

Enter your guesses row by row. For each letter, click the button beneath it to cycle through the three states: green (correct letter, correct position), yellow (letter is in the word but wrong position), or gray (letter is not in the word). After entering your clues, click "Find Possible Words" to see every word from our 15,900-word dictionary that matches all your constraints simultaneously.
The statistically best Wordle openers cover high-frequency letters. CRANE covers C, R, A, N, E. SLATE covers S, L, A, T, E. ADIEU and AROSE each cover 4 vowels in one guess. Most expert players recommend CRANE or SLATE as the strongest openers based on letter frequency analysis.
Yes, and it's especially useful for Hard Mode. In Hard Mode you must use every revealed hint in subsequent guesses — our solver already filters to only words that satisfy all your green and yellow constraints, so every suggestion it gives is a valid Hard Mode guess.
Our dictionary includes all valid English words, not just common ones. Wordle occasionally uses uncommon words as answers. If you want only common words, focus on the results that look familiar — the most likely answers are words you'd recognise.
Standard Wordle gives you 6 guesses to find the 5-letter word. With our solver, most players can narrow it down to 1–5 possible words after just 2 guesses, making it much easier to solve within the limit.
Yes. The letter constraint logic works for any 5-letter Wordle variant. For Quordle (4 simultaneous boards) or other variants, run separate searches for each board's clues.
